Then you’re in the right place.

Make sure that your influencer marketing strategies benefit your company and that your goals go beyond finding the right influencer.

Influencer Marketing Measures - organizing post-its

Understanding the different strategies based on the desired effect and timeframe is crucial to figuring out where to focus your time, energy, and money. One useful method for the classification of different influencer marketing strategies is by dividing them into three groups.

These 3 types of influencer marketing measures are divided based on their timeframe: short, medium, and long-term.

Let’s take a look at them.

1. Short-Term Influencer Marketing Measures

A short-term influencer marketing strategy typically lasts anywhere between one and three months. Its main focus is on delivering fast results. Marketing campaigns that focus on raising brand awareness, creating influencer-generated content, and increasing sales all fall into this category. They can be very useful for smaller, newer brands and well-established businesses alike.

Brand reaching out to influencers

When implementing short-term measures for your influencer marketing endeavors, keep in mind that its shorter duration is not a guarantee for a smaller budget. In fact, these types of campaigns can require a budget of anywhere between 10K to 1 million. And it’s dependent on the number of influencers you’re working with and their rates.

A lot of the work involved in this type of strategy needs to be done before contacting the influencers themselves. So if you don’t already have an expert on your team, consider working with an agency to ensure optimal results.

2. Medium-Term Measure

When done right, medium-term influencer marketing measures can be extremely effective at boosting your brand’s reputation and authenticity. It usually lasts between three and six months or even up to a year in certain cases.

Successful medium-term measures incorporate strategic testimonials as an intrinsic part of the strategy. These testimonials are a reliable and credible way to convey your brand’s message to your audience.

It’s extremely important that all content related to a medium-term campaign reflects your brand’s core values. And it demonstrates a truthful example of:

  • who you are
  • what you stand for, and
  • what your customers can expect from you.

3. Long-Term Measures

In addition to the strategies mentioned previously, in order to achieve the best results, it’s important to also have at least one long-term measure. This measure will serve as a permanent fixture of your influencer marketing efforts.

Long-term strategies are the backbone of your campaign as they are the most essential part of establishing your branding and reach. They also provide thought-out content that can be used across all channels.

This type of strategy works best with a team that can plan and implement measures every step of the way. And on top of that, keep track of the results you’re achieving.

Long-term strategies that last upwards of 12 months also include ambassador programs. This type of program helps your brand establish itself within your community and build relationships with the influencers in your niche.

Since brand ambassador programs are a result of individuals who are true believers in your brand, they are one of the best ways to build organic relationships and improve your metrics.
