4 Best Hotels and Resorts That Work With Influencers

Travel influencers often only stick to travel sites like Booking.com and Expedia.com to earn money. While such websites are great, they may not offer the best returns. Hence, it may be a good idea to work directly with popular hotels and resort chains that entertain travel influencers.

There are a bunch of hotels and resorts that work with influencers but not all may be worth a try.

In this article, we have covered 4 of the best hotels and resorts that work with travel influencers.

#1 Marriott

Marriott | External view of building

Marriott is one of the most popular names in hospitality with more than 3,900 hotels in over 70 countries. The hotel giant reported revenue of more than $22 billion in 2017 and it’s expected to only grow in the future with the brand new set to launch more hotels in Asia.

Marriott is associated with five stars, and expensive hotels but does not let it fool you as the brand has about 15 names under the umbrella including some affordable hotels making it a good option for all types of travel influencers.

Some of the most popular names include Marriott, Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, Renaissance Hotels, and Courtyard.

In addition to hotel stays, they also offer vacation packages. You can earn between 4 and 6 percent commission on hotels but vacation packages only pay 3 percent.

Like a bunch of other hotel and resort sites, Marriott does not handle its own affiliate program. You will have to sign up through Performance Horizon. The platform is reliable and easy to use. You will get access to the support teams, content links, newsletters, and special offers.

However, we wish the cookie length was longer as it’s quite short at just 7 days.

Pros:

  • Biweekly payments after you reach the minimum threshold
  • A huge number of properties
  • Excellent customer support

Cons:

  • You must have a website to join
  • Short cookie length

#2 Vik Hotels Group

Vik Hotel Arena Blanca | Hotels that work with influencers

The Vik Hotels Group may not be the most popular hotel chain right now but it’s fast catching on. The group has 11 establishments around the world and most are located in popular destinations like Spain, Chile, the Canary Islands, and Uruguay.

Vik Hotels Group is different from typical hotels as its aim is to make visitors feel at home. However, this doesn’t mean visitors have to do without amenities as the hotels are in great locations and feature everything from pools to spas to health centers to great food.

They also do not handle their own program and you will have to sign up at ShareASale to be a part of the program that pays a fixed commission of 6 percent. This is pretty good and with the average room costing USD 813, you will be going home with a commission of about $48 per night.

Most visitors book the hotel for four nights, which means you will be making a little less than $200 for referring a single person. This is easy money. Plus, the program offers a cookie length of 30 days which makes it a great option for travel content creators.

Pros:

  • High commission
  • The tacking tools are quite impressive
  • The hotels are in great locations

Cons:

  • Poor customer support

#3 Sandos Hotels & Resorts

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort | Drone View

If you are looking for a hotel that pays excellent commission then stick to Sandos Hotels & Resorts as it offers up to 7 percent commission and has a cookie length of 30 days. However, it may not be suitable for all travel influencers since the average order costs $1,845.

This hotel chain has 8 locations in some top holiday destinations like Tenerife, Benidorm, Lanzarote, and Mexico. All the resorts offer inclusive packages and the brand is very popular among couples and families. Also, almost all the hotels and resorts are beach-facing, making it a good option for people who enjoy beach holidays.

The program is available on two networks, Awin and ShareASale. They both offer the same commission but come with different features so use one that you like more.

Also, the program has a lot of limitations including a ban on certain ad types. It is important that you go through the terms and conditions in detail as not following ‘em can get your application rejected or canceled.

Give this a try if you receive a lot of people who have the purchasing power to spend lavishly when they go out.

Pros:

  • Very high commission rate
  • The average order size is huge
  • Popular among US and UK visitors

Cons:

  • May not be suitable for all travelers or influencers
  • Stringent terms and conditions

#4 Oaks Hotels & Resorts

OAKS Best Hotels & Resorts | Sunset by the beach

Oaks Hotels & Resorts has more than 55 properties all around the world. However, they are most popular in the UAE, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand. Most of the establishments are located in busy areas and the brand intends to grow more with a new hotel and resort expected to open in India.

You will have to sign up with ShareASale to be able to use the Oaks Hotels & Resorts influencer program that pays up to 5 percent commission and offers a cookie length of 30 days.

The average order size is $417 which may not be very high but it makes the resort a good choice for influencers who do not receive visitors willing to pay a huge amount.

As an influencer, you will receive excellent materials from the company as they work closely with travel influencers and offer banner ads, voucher codes, and special discounts.

Pros:

  • A huge number of options to choose from
  • Excellent cookie length
  • Great promotional material

Cons:

  • You must have a website to join
